Quinoa starch microspheres for drug delivery: preparation and their characteristics

Quinoa starch microparticles (QSMs) fabricated with unhydrolyzed quinoa (QS) by inverse microemulsion technology could be used as medicine delivery and cosmetic accessories. The size distribution of QSMs was uniform at 28.5 μM, the adsorption capacity methylene blue 0.82 mg/ g. optimum preparation process follows: a QS mass fraction 9%, an epoxy chloropropane content 1%, amount oil phase 100 mL, span 80 3 mg/mL, stirring speed 400 r/min for h room temperature pressure. were spherical, ellipsoidal in shape specific surface area 1.676 m2/g. crystallinity increased from 1.24% to 16.8% after crosslinking. maximum thermal degradation rose slightly than QS. It will promising material application drug carrier cosmetics.
